I'm an IT professional with 6 years of hands-on experience, including 2.5 years as the IT Systems Administrator at Rowan College at Burlington County. I specialize in endpoint management, identity and access, and security automation across MECM, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Ellucian Colleague, and I serve on the departmental leadership team alongside the Director and Assistant Director.

My approach is to turn manual IT work into safe, audited self-service. I build custom .NET tools like BaronGuard, which lets trained front-line staff resolve students' password and MFA issues on the spot and has eliminated 2,000+ manual escalations to OIT, and BaronOps, a single pane of glass that ties the technicians' lab tools together so most lab management can be done remotely. I also rebuild the foundations I inherit: one standardized Windows image in place of per-lab images, 97 legacy GPOs consolidated into about 30, and a nightly-synced inventory of 3,600+ assets.

  1. IT Systems Administrator

    • Identity Self-Service (BaronGuard): Built a zero-cost, audited gateway that lets student-facing staff resolve password, MFA, and Temporary Access Pass issues on the spot, with mandatory identity verification on every request, replacing manual Google Chat requests to OIT that consumed roughly 43% of each technician's week. In its first 4 months: 2,200+ resets on 1,686 accounts by 42 staff and 2,000+ manual technician escalations eliminated. A built-in Escalation Center opens HappyFox tickets for issues that still need OIT, with two-way updates visible to whoever is on shift.
    • Endpoint & Access Modernization: Architected the college's first greenfield Microsoft Intune environment with hybrid MECM co-management and Windows Autopilot provisioning, and led the organization-wide BeyondTrust PAM rollout to enforce least privilege and Zero Trust across staff systems.
    • Imaging Overhaul (MECM OSD): Replaced per-lab "fat" images, each built and generalized separately in VMware, with one standardized Windows image for every lab, instructor, and staff system. Task sequences name devices by standard, place them in the correct OU, configure Windows through answer files, and install role-specific software and drivers during deployment, so keeping images current means updating a single .wim.
    • Active Directory Overhaul: Restructured the inherited OU hierarchy and security groups and modernized Group Policy, consolidating 97 legacy GPOs into about 30 standardized policies (a 70% reduction).
    • Asset Management Automation: Rebuilt the college's inventory tracking in HappyFox Assets, now covering 3,600+ assets: 1,835 computers, 1,620 monitors, 122 printers, and 50 mobile devices. A nightly, delta-only sync pulls equipment and asset tags from the Ellucian Colleague ERP, confirms each device is managed in MECM, Intune, or Jamf, pairs it with its assigned staff member's HappyFox contact, adds Dell, Lenovo, and Apple warranty dates via API, and removes retired equipment. Every ticket now arrives with the requester's device and warranty status attached.
    • Lab Management (BaronOps): Built a .NET 8/WPF “single pane of glass” that ties MECM, Active Directory, Deep Freeze, 25Live, and Sassafras together so technicians can manage labs remotely in most cases: power and session control, Deep Freeze, remote control, software deployment and auditing, printer checks, and room scheduling. Real-time “Thaw-Deploy-Freeze” deployments run through embedded PowerShell 7.4 with RBAC and zero-trust credential storage. Lab checks that once meant walking every building now take one click to wake and verify a lab, and weekly automated reports flag machines that missed their scheduled wake times.
    • Esports Security: Designed a "Nuclear Lockdown" model (shell replacement, NTFS locking, BeyondTrust) that eliminated system-breakout attempts, and rolled out ggLeap, now serving 468 students and growing each term, with 1,500+ hours logged in its first term.
    • IT Leadership & Support: Selected to serve on the departmental leadership team alongside the Director and Assistant Director, guiding strategy through the move from a multi-decade MSP to a new vendor. Resolve escalations in HappyFox, coordinate vendors, mentor peers, and write the master SOPs for lab infrastructure.
